Haewol Coffee Songdo : Hand-Drip Coffee and Brunch Gem Near Costco

I recently visited *Haewol Coffee*, a specialty coffee and brunch cafe located near Costco in Songdo.

Haewol Coffee started as a roasting factory in 2019 and later opened its first showroom in Baegot, followed by its second showroom in Songdo.

They make everything in-house, from croissants to custard cream and buttercream, and they offer a variety of coffees and desserts from different regions.

The cafe is open from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Haewol Coffee is located on the first floor of the Rich Central Building, the same building famous for Songdo Haesu Oncheon (Hot Spring).

Unlike other cafes with large signs, Haewol Coffee has a very small sign, as you can see in the photo, which made it a bit challenging to find from outside.

If you have trouble finding it, it might be easier to say it’s next to Songdo Harley-Davidson.

I visited Haewol Coffee at 1:30 PM on a weekday.

Even though there were only a few tables, almost all of them were occupied, which proves its popularity!

I chose the brunch menu (18,000 KRW) from their selection of various coffee, bread, dessert, and brunch options.

The brunch menu includes coffee, and they asked if I preferred a nutty or acidic flavor for my coffee.

For the croissant sandwich, you can choose from five different options.

I went with the cheese and bacon croissant.

The bacon and cheese croissant sandwich surprised me with the amount of oyster mushrooms inside.

The mushrooms were sautéed in butter, giving them a delicious, rich flavor that paired beautifully with the sandwich.

It was a unique combination, but the flavors were harmoniously sophisticated!

The scrambled eggs were incredibly soft.

I wonder how they achieve such a creamy texture!

It’s probably due to milk, cream, butter, low heat, and short cooking time, but why can’t I get it right at home?

The coffee, as expected from a specialty cafe, was hand-dripped rather than made by a machine.

The nutty coffee paired perfectly with the brunch.

Although the cafe isn’t very spacious and the tables are close to each other, the delicious brunch and coffee make me want to visit often.

At 1:30 PM, the place was packed, making it hard to find a seat, 

but by the time I left around 3:00 PM, it had quieted down.

If you plan to visit, keep the busy hours in mind.
